1. Purpose:Bata Networks is committed to fostering a flexible and supportive remote work environment. This policy ensures that remote work is beneficial for both the company and its employees, maintaining productivity, security, and a healthy work-life balance.
2. Scope:This policy applies to all Bata Networks employees who work remotely, on either a full-time or part-time basis, as approved by their supervisor.
3. Policy Statements:
a. Eligibility and Approval:Remote work eligibility is based on the employee's role, performance, and the operational needs of their department. Supervisor approval is mandatory.
b. Work Hours and Availability:Remote employees are expected to maintain agreed-upon work hours and be accessible during these times through phone, email, or Bata Networks' preferred communication platform.
c. Workspace and Equipment:Employees should establish a dedicated, safe, and ergonomically friendly workspace. Bata Networks will provide or reimburse for necessary equipment and home office setup costs, subject to company policy.
d. Data Security and Confidentiality:Adherence to Bata Networks' data security policies is critical. Employees must ensure secure handling of work data and protect any personal devices used for work.
e. Communication and Collaboration:Consistent communication with supervisors and team members is required. Employees must use Bata Networks' designated tools for collaboration and team interactions.
f. Performance and Productivity:Remote work performance will be assessed on outcomes and meeting of deadlines. Employees are expected to maintain or exceed productivity levels while working remotely.
g. Health and Safety:Employees must adhere to safe work practices at their remote workspace and report any work-related incidents to their supervisor promptly.
h. Expense Reimbursement:Reasonable and pre-approved expenses related to remote work will be reimbursed according to Bata Networks' expense policy.
i. Remote Work Travel:Employees must inform their supervisor of any travel during remote work that might affect tax implications or insurance coverage.
j. Policy Compliance:Non-compliance with the remote work policy may result in the revocation of remote work privileges and/or disciplinary action.
4. Modifications to the Policy:Bata Networks reserves the right to alter this policy as necessary, in response to business needs or regulatory changes.
5. Acknowledgment:All employees engaged in remote work must acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the Bata Networks Remote Work Policy.
